Flakes Have Started Falling but How Much Snow Might We Get?

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning today.

The snow has begun to fall and according to the National Weather Service (NWS) the winter storm may leave up to 10 inches of accumulation before all is said and done.

The NWS has issued a winter storm warning for much of the state, including Burlington, in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow. According to the warning the area can expect "heavy snow" this afternoon into Thursday morning with a total accumulation between six and 10 inches.

The weather may have an impact on traffic this evening and tomorrow morning.

"Poor visibility and slippery travel due to snow covered roadways," the warning states. "Both the evening and Thursday morning commutes will be affected."
