  • Chance of showers: Another gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Cool with a high near 53 degrees. Cloudy tonight with a low around 35. 
  • Music and candy exchange: Temple Shalom Emeth is hosting a Halloween Candy Dump and Exchange and a Rockin' Ruach Music Service at 7:30 p.m. Bring Halloween candy to drop off or exchange and enjoy some music. 
  • Quilting: The Burlington Public Library is hosting the Quilt Club today from 10 a.m. to noon. The group is open to anyone and is for people who love quilting and want to share ideas with friends.
  • Adventure night: Guard Up! Family Swordsmanship is hosting an "Sword Night: Samurai vs. Ninja" Grab a foam sword and get into the action. For ages 6 and up and $20 per person.
  • Facebook showdown: Burlington Patch is taking on Lexington Patch in a Facebook "like" showdown. We are looking to see who can get more likes between now and Nov. 21 (day before the Burlington/Lexington Thanksgiving Day game). Help us beat Lexington by liking our Facebook page today.
