Burlington Police: Missing Assisted Living Resident Found

A resident reported missing from an assisted living facility this morning has been found, police say.

 

A 70-year-old Sunrise Assisted Living resident who went missing early this morning has been found, police said.

According to a Burlington Police post on Facebook, the resident has been found.

"Burlington Police would like to thank all who assisted in the operation," the post said. 

Burlington Police tweeted earlier this morning that the resident, a woman, had dementia and is "fast moving."

Initial reports of the missing resident came in just after 6 a.m. Friday, but it's reported that staffers had not seen the woman since 4 a.m.

K9 teams were on scene to assist with the search, which has now ended.
