  • Closings: Today is the observation of Veterans Day and so all government offices and all schools are closed. Click here for a full list of what is open and closed today.
  • Lacrosse registration: Burlington Youth Lacrosse for boys and girls between grades K-8 is now open for registration. Registration for Spring 2013 is online only at: http://www.burlingtonlax.com/ Early bird discount if registration is completed by today.
  • Facebook showdown: Burlington Patch is taking on Lexington Patch in a Facebook "like" showdown. We are looking to see who can get more likes between now and Nov. 21 (day before the Burlington/Lexington Thanksgiving Day game). Help us beat Lexington by liking our Facebook page today.
  • Volunteer: People Helping People and the Burlington Food Pantry is looking for a few good volunteers to help those in need. Open positions include drivers to deliver meals and help in loading the vehicles.
