Five Things You Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. 

Today is Tuesday, Feb. 12. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny, warmish: Looks like a pretty nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 45 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 26 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Burlington Board of Health is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The School Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High School.
  • Storytimes: The Burlington Public Library is offering three story times today. The first is Toddler Storytime for children 18 to 36 months at 10:30 a.m. followed by  Preschool Storytime for children 3 to 6 at 11 a.m. In the evening the library is hosting Pajama Storytime for children 3 to 7 at 7 p.m.
  • Scrabble Club: The Burlington Public Library is holding a session of the Scrabble Club from 3:45 to 5 p.m. this afternoon. The club is open to students in grades 4 - 8 and no registration required.
  • Square dancing: Saint Malachy Catholic Church is holding beginner square dance lessons at 7 p.m. this evening. Experienced dancers also invited. Fun for singles or couples and good exercise for everyone. Cost is $7.
