Today is Tuesday, Feb. 19. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Showers likely: Looks like a wet, though warmish, day today. According to the National Weather Service showers are likely, mainly after 5 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 47 degrees. It will also be windy with gusts as high as 28 miles per hour. Rain tonight with a low around 30 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Capital Budget Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room. The Board of Appeals is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
  • Puppet show: The Burlington Public Library is holding an event "Pumpernickel Puppets: 3 Billy Goats Gruff &The Lion & The Mouse" at 1 p.m. for children of all ages. 
  • TAG: The Teen Advisory Group is meeting at the Burlington Public Library at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon. The group is open to students in grades 6 to 12. Join the library for discussions on books, movies and teen events and enjoy some pizza.
  • Blood drive: The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St. Do your part and donate today and give the gift of life.
