  • Chance of afternoon showers: Though it's slight, there is a chance of some afternoon rain showers today.   • Public meetings: The Council on Aging is meeting at 10 a.m. in the Human Services Building () at 61 Center St. The Grand View Farm Committee is meeting at 7 p.m in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room. The Ways & Means Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at .
  • Candidate forum: The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a candidate forum with the candidates for the Board of Selectmen and Planning Board races. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and will be held in the main conference room in 1 New England Executive Park. . 
  • Lego Club: The is hosting a Lego Club for children in grades 1 to 6 at 3:30 this afternoon. They supply the Legos, you bring your imagination.
  • Start of a technological revolution: On this day in 1976, Apple Computer Company demonstrated its first personal computer—the Apple I—at a computer club in California.
