Right Turn announces the Grand Opening of a new Women's Extended Care Program

New Extended Care Program offers innovative outpatient treatment specifically for women

 

BOSTON (May 7, 2014) – Right Turn, a local nonprofit that provides an innovative program offering intensive outpatient treatment and supportive housing in a uniquely creative environment for treating addictions and mental health, is pleased to announce the grand opening of their new Women’s Extended Care Program for Addiction. The new program will provide a safe, stable, and sober environment for women throughout Boston seeking treatment from addiction.

“Research has shown that women require special attention for the distinct issues that complicate their addiction(s) and recovery processes,” states Mark Albanese MD, Medical Director of Right Turn. “Our program strives to meet female clients where they are in their recovery process and help them safely navigate the early months of sobriety.”

The new four- to six-month program uses Right Turn’s highly structured group therapy model to provide women with comprehensive and ongoing care from a dedicated clinical team with expertise in psychiatry, internal medicine, family support, and addiction counseling. Additionally, participants will learn to manage financial budgeting, nutrition, physical exercise, conflict resolution, creativity, and community involvement. The program will also allow female clients the opportunity to engage in the dynamic community that is attached to Right Turn, with activities ranging from self-help support groups to live music events.
