Burlington Resident Joins Needham Senior Living Community

The Residences at Wingate (www.residencesatwingate.com), Needham’s only 5-star senior living community, today announced they have added an additional team member to their growing management team. Ashleigh Bakaian, CTRS/L, has joined the community as their new Director of Activities. In her new role, Bakaian will be responsible for all of the activities and wellness programming for the communities independent living, assisted living and memory care residents.

Prior to joining The Residences at Wingate, Bakaian served as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Wilton, New Hampshire. She holds a number of certifications and degrees including in First Aid/CPR, Psychological First Aid and is a certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She received an M.S. in Sports Management and Therapeutic Recreation/Child Life from Springfield College and a B.S. in Health Sciences from New England College. 

“Ashleigh has worked in many facets of the healthcare industry--in hospitals with children, with seniors at continuing care retirement communities and with people experiencing a variety of limiting physical and psychological health conditions,” said Scott Schuster, President & CEO of Wingate Healthcare. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the position that we know will be a tremendous asset to our residents.”
