“At any time of year, my favorite thing to eat is a cheeseburger,” says Flay . “And at BBP, I celebrate America’s variety of flavors, styles and cultures surrounding this classic staple, offering a selection of specialty burgers, served at a great price. The Boston-area has a very forward-thinking food community, and I’m very excited to be able to share this with the families and residents of Burlington.”

According to the release, in honor of the first Boston-area opening, BBP Burlington will donate $1 for every burger (including ground turkey burgers and chicken breast sandwiches) sold during the first week of opening (January 27- February 3) to People Helping People’s Burlington Community Food Pantry — a local organization that operates year-round to provide food and other vital services to members of the Burlington community.

The Burgers:

From BBP release:

Each BBP burger is Bobby’s tribute to America’s regional flavors and traditions, made with only premium-quality ingredients and condiments. Cooked to order, patrons can choose from 10 signature burgers such as the Philadelphia Burger with Provolone cheese, griddled onions and hot peppers; the Buffalo Style Burger with red hot sauce, blue cheese dressing and watercress; the Dallas Burger spice crusted with coleslaw, Monterey Jack, BBQ sauce, and pickles; the Santa Fe Burger with queso sauce, pickled jalapeños, and blue corn chips; and the Palace Classic Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion – are all served on a sesame seed bun. Also offered is a BBP Burger of the Month, which in January will be the Canadian Burger with white Cheddar cheese, Canadian bacon and maple mustard sauce. February’s Burger of the Month will be the Louisiana Burger with spice crust, Pepper Jack cheese, Tasso ham and spicy Remoulade hot sauce. All burgers may be prepared with Certified Angus Beef or ground turkey, and a grilled chicken breast option is also available.

THE SET- UP

The 72-seat BBP is a nod to a classic burger joint, emblazoned with fiery red, bold yellow and vibrant green hues that Bobby is so known for.  BBP is outfitted with a central serpentine striped corian dining counter with vivid green leather seats and a dramatic ribbon-like light fixture with brown, orange and yellow stripes.

A floor-to-ceiling feature wall encasing the BBP’s kitchen is a mosaic of wood, bamboo and bright green, brown and orange glass tiles.  Pendant lamps create a gradation of amber color where light shines through tiny bubbles providing a glow throughout the restaurant.  Photographs of farm-fresh ingredients also adorn the BBP’s walls.

BBP Burlington is located at the Burlington Mall at 75 Middlesex Turnpike on the northeast side of the mail. The restaurant will be on the first floor between Sears and Lord & Taylor. For on-the-go burger lovers, take-out service and online ordering are available.
