Raytheon Awarded $98 Million Missile Contract

The contract includes an option for another $9 million in work, according to the Eagle Tribune.

Raytheon, with facilities in Tewksbury, Burlington, and Andover among others around the state, was recently awarded a nearly $100 million contract to perform work on the Patriot missile system.

According to a report in the Eagle Tribune, the $98 million contract was awarded last week by the Department of Defense. Raytheon received a similar contract last year worth $115 million for Patriot missile work.

It is unclear what impact the contract will have on employment figures, according to the newspaper.
