Market Basket CEO Wary of Board's Website

CEO Arthur T. Demoulas pointed out several factual inaccuracies with the website and asked the board to shut it down, according to the Herald.

Market Basket CEO Arthur T. Demoulas has taken issue with a website set up by the supermarket chain's board of directors to create a line of communication between the board and employees, according to the Boston Herald.

In a letter to the board and employees, Demoulas pointed out several factual inaccuracies with the website and asked the board to shut it down, according to the Herald.

Demoulas argues that the website takes the side of his cousin and board of directors member Arthur S. Demoulas, who sought to oust Arthur T. from the CEO position earlier this year

According to the Herald, the board has only made one of the changes to the website suggested by Arthur T., and has said through a spokesperson they do not intend to take the website down.

Arthur T. maintains the company should communicate to employees and shareholders solely through the CEO, according to the Herald.
