Overview: Not Your Average Joe's is a local chain of restaurants which serves up unique dishes in a casual environment. Started in 1994, NYAJoes is committed to bringing upscale food to Massachusetts diners at reasonable prices. They are very active in their community and online. They are very active on Facebook as well as Twitter. They also give back by highlighting one non-profit organization each month and giving 15% of each Tuesday night's sales to that charity. NYAJoes is good for your appetite, wallet and soul!

Decor: All the NYAJoes locations have a funky decor with dark furniture, multi-colored lights. They are known for their cool signs and unique awnings. The front of each NYAJoes is different from the rest.

Appetizers: As soon as you sit down, your friendly waiter brings over a basket of NYAJoes' famous homemade focaccia bread and plates up a special dipping sauce with parmesan, red pepper flakes and olive oil. If you still need something before your meal, try one of their appetizers including their delicious Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Other appetizers include Rhode Island calamari, vegetable spring rolls, Ahi Tuna wontons and appetizer sized pizzas.

Beverages: NYAJoes has a wide variety of red and white wines as well as draft and bottled beers. Ask your waiter about what's in season! Their specialty cocktails include their different margaritas (including a grapefruit one we'll have to try on the next visit), sangrias and mojitos as well as their unique drinks including caribbean moondance, salty dog and the frozen chocolate banana sombrero! They also have a variety of sodas and juices.

Entrees: NYAJoes has monthly specials as well as some standard regular items. There are a variety of salads including thai chicken, caesar, cobb, house and waldorf. You can make a salad a meal by topping it off with chicken, steak or shrimp for an additional cost. They also have specialty pizzas like california bacon blue cheese and santa fe chicken or you can get their standard margherita pizza or build your own with your choice of a variety of toppings. Lunch and dinner menus vary. We recommend their menu staple the Mustard-Crusted Chicken which comes with green beans and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. They have a variety of seafood, poultry and meat plate options as well as burgers and sandwiches. Each entree has NYAJoes' unique twist! Ask for their gluten free menu if you have a gluten intolerance.

Desserts: Calling all peanut butter lovers! NYAJoes's signature "Peanut Butter Thing" has peanut butter and chocolate mixed in with vanilla ice cream and wrapped in crushed cookie crumbs. They also have cheesecake, key lime pie, raspberry sorbet and classic strawberry shortcake.

Service: Lunch is served from 11 am to 4 pm and Dinner from 4 pm until closing. You can submit a reservation request online or call ahead. They don't deliver but you can order a meal to-go from their take-out menu and pick it up at the Burlington location. They'll bring your meal to your car and they have dedicated parking spots for pick-up. Just order your meal online or by phone.
