Burlington's Newest Fine Dining Restaurant Opening Today

Seasons 52 is opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. today.

Burlington's newest fine dining restaurant is set to open with a grand opening ceremony today.

Seasons 52, located in the old Borders location at 6 Wayside Road, will open its doors at 10:45 a.m. this morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony and will be welcoming new customers today.

Season's 52 is a fresh grill and wine bar featuring a seasonally inspired menu options and an award-‐winning international wine list with over 2,000 varieties of wine. The restaurant has an atmosphere of "casual sophistication" and features earth-tone colors and pieces of artwork. The decorations are in a "Brick-a-Brack" style with vertical and horizontal shelves coupled with bottles of wine and glassware.

Each season the menu changes to feature ingredients and food inspired by that season. The food is made fresh at the restaurant. In Burlington Executive Chef Partner Stefan Jarausch oversees the kitchen and will create seasonally-inspired dishes featuring fresh ingredients. Every item on the menu is guaranteed to be under 475 calories. Nothing at Seasons 52 is fried and there is no butter in the restaurant.

There are also special menus for people with allergies, vegetarians and gluten free diets.

The restaurant also features a circular piano bar with nightly live music and an outdoor patio. There are also four private dining rooms for private and semi‐private business and social events.

The wine list at Seasons 52 was put together by Master Sommelier George Miliotes. In a media dinner on Tuesday Miliotes told Patch he has either personally visited every winery where the wines are made or has met with the owners for a personal sampling.

"There is a reason for every wine that is on our list," he said. "I vet all of them to ensure they consistently make great wines year after year."

Miliotes also said he has trained the staff to help diners, both wine connoisseurs and novices, find the perfect wine for them. The staff is also able to make suggestions for food and wine pairings. Seasons 52 offers 64 wines by the glass and a large number of varieties by the bottle.

"I teach our servers about our wines and at any point they are able to make suggestions, offer tastings and suggest wines for comparison," he explained. "They can also make suggestions based on a customer's taste."

Seasons 52 is a fine-dining establishment but they do have some lower-cost specials. One explained by General Manager Sean Wiseman is the Flights & Flatbreads where customers can get a flatbread and three flights of either red or white wines followed by a glass of their favorite wine for $15.
