Burlington Mall To Add Charging Stations

Shoppers at the Burlington Mall will soon have an easy way to charge their phones and other electronic devices while they are perusing the stores.

According to a release from the Simon Property Group, Inc., the entity that owns the mall, the Burlington Mall and other Simon locations in New England plan to add electronic charging stations this summer.

"The electronic charging stations are expected to arrive at the malls by early July and will bring yet another amenity to shoppers who frequent Simon Malls in the New England region," the release states.

The electronic charging stations will be easily accessible and be located near soft seating areas, the release states. Shoppers will be able to use the stations to charge cell phones, tablets, laptops and other personal electronic devices. The design of the charging station is in the shape of a tower and presents shoppers with two outlets and a small shelf to rest devices on while they charge.

“Simon Property Group is constantly thinking of ways to simplify the lives of our shoppers and provide them with the services and amenities that are desired,” said Brian Jenkins, Vice President, Simon Property Group, New England. “Along with the Simon Mobile Shopper Club, which allows shoppers to receive the latest coupons, updates and alerts via text, and our Simon Malls Mobile App, which puts a personal shopping assistant in the palm of your hand, the electronic charging stations are yet another way we can assist shoppers who are on the go.”
