What Do You Think of Poehler's, Fey's Hosting of Golden Globes?

Poehler was also honored in her own right during the ceremony.

Burlington native Amy Poehler teamed up with long-time friend Tina Fey Sunday night to host the Golden Globes for the second time in two years.

Poehler is best known for her work on Saturday Night Live and the sitcom Parks and Recreation. Fey is also a well-known SNL alum and was the star of 30 Rock.

While some parts of the award show are being criticized, the general consensus of media outlets is that the pair of hosts did well and brought the laughs.

"Those of us who watch awards shows were expecting Amy Poehler and Tina Fey to crush their return to the Golden Globes hosting gig -- and, of course, they did," Huffington Post Television Critic Maureen Ryan said.

"Viewers wondering whether or not hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would be able to recapture the Golden Globes magic that made them fast favorites at last year's ceremony got their answer as soon as this year's bash began: Oh, yeah!," Today contributor Ree Hines wrote

Poehler also had her moment on stage as a Golden Globe winner. The actress beat out Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Lena Dunham (Girls), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) to win the Best actress in a TV series, musical or comedy category for her work on Parks and Recreation.
