The Red Sox will once again face the Cardinals in the World Series. This is the fourth time the two teams have met in the series. The Sox defeated the Cards in 2004, earning their first World Series win in 86 years. Before that, The Cards beat the Ted Williams-led Sox in 1946 and the Impossible Dream Sox of 1967.

All of the World Series games will air in prime time on Fox.

The one scheduling variable, of course, is the weather. There are already concerns that a storm may knock Game 1 out of place. Forecasters are tracking a Nor'Easter that may or may not bring significant rain to Fenway Park Wednesday night

Here is the current game schedule. Note the first time is the start of World Series coverage and the second is the time of when the game actually starts:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 1 in Boston.
  • Thursday, Oct. 24, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 2 in Boston.
  • Saturday, Oct. 26, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 3 in St. Louis.
  • Sunday, Oct. 27, 8 p.m. (game starts at 8:15 p.m.): Game 4 in St. Louis.

If Necessary:

  • Monday, Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 5 in St. Louis.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 6 in Boston.
  • Thursday, Oct. 31, 7:30 p.m. (game starts at 8:07 p.m.): Game 7 in Boston.
