What Roads Will Be Closed for Burlington's Fourth of July Parade?

Burlington's parade begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, and several roads will be closed as a result.

Burlington starts its Fourth of July festivities on Friday morning, and as a result there will be several traffic delays in town.

At 8:30 a.m., the celebration begins on Town Common with kids games, a dog show and other events before the parade gets underway at 11 a.m.

In a post to their Facebook page, Burlington Police said that in anticipation of the parade, portions of Cambridge Street and Winn Street will be closed.

Police said that at 10 a.m., Cambridge Street southbound will be shut down and traffic will be diverted onto Route 62, also known as Wilmington Road.

Then at 10:30 a.m., Cambridge Street northbound will be shut and traffic will be rerouted at Cambridge Street and Church Lane.

In addition, Winn Street will be shut down in the northbound direction beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Winn and Center Streets.

According to police, when the parade moves closer to Marshall Simonds Middle School, traffic on Winn Street will be diverted to Peach Orchard Road.
