A recent study listed the most dangerous intersections in Massachusetts and New England.

The intersection of Mystic Avenue and the Fellsway in Somerville was ranked as the “most dangerous” intersection in the state and the third most dangerous one in New England in a recent study by GoLocal Worcester, an online publication.

The site’s methodology looked at total number of accidents, fatalities, injuries and property-damage-only crashes at each intersection.

Not one Burlington intersection made the list.

That's a good thing, but it also got us to wonder what's the most dangerous intersection in Burlington.

Looking at just Burlington, what do you find to be the most dangerous intersection? Is there a road you avoid because it's too dangerous? Let us know in the comments section below.

How about Meadowvale Road during the winter time? You can't even see pulling out onto Bedford Street on a normal day. Not to mention, people race up Carey Avenue at all times during the day, especially in the morning and the evening. Everyone tries to avoid the traffic on Cambridge and Bedford Streets and they all use our street so they don't get stuck in traffic.

If we are stretching the question past intersections, I'd like to stretch it a little further and vote for the most insane stretch of road in Burlington. Hands down, I vote for the stretch of Middlesex Turnpike from the Mall to Market Basket. It seems to me there there might be enough land to create an access road at least from Trader Joe's to Market basket behind the plazas. If so, then all traffic for that stretch could be forced through the light at Market Basket (with some clever thinking). It could be similar to what Nashua has on Daniel Webster.

Intersection of Cambridge Street and South Bedford. There have been more accidents there than I care to count.

SLM, that was suggested before, but there is water back there. So it would have to be a bridge. Trader Joe's and Bed & Bath shouldn't be in that spot (just as so many others along that stretch ). It's a difficult place to get in and out of. Many moons ago, when the Pike wasn't so insane, there was a nice looking building there that didn't seem to have much activity going on, just as the old Dodge location next to Barnes & Noble. I'm sure they'll be many accicdents now that there is restaurants in that location. .. One way in and out directly across from the 128 exit/entrance ramps.
