Support Families in Need Get a Holiday Dinner with Raffle for Capital Grille Dinner

Purchase a $20 raffle ticket to support the Burlington Food Pantry and earn a chance to win a meal at Capital Grille

Tickets are still available for People Helping People's Second Annual Capital Grille Raffle for a chance to win a $1,000 gift certificate to the Capital Grille in Burlington (certain conditions apply). The prize, which covers dinner for six, including wine, was donated by the Capital Grille at 10 Wayside Road in Burlington.   

The proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing Holiday Dinners for families of the Food Pantry in December. Only 500 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held at Olde Town Liquors on October 6th.

Raffle tickets are $20 each and are being sold at the following Burlington businesses:  Spencer Cleaners at 271 Cambridge Street and 240 Middlesex Turnpike, Olde Town Liquors at 242 Cambridge St., and can be purchased through Janet Sullivan Fitzgerald sullivanfh@comcast.net, 6 Rita Avenue, Burlington MA

People Helping People is once again grateful to Burlington resident & Managing Partner of the Capital Grille, David Icken and Deb & Doug Place of the Printing Place in Burlington, for their generous support.

Burlington’s People Helping People is a non-profit, primarily volunteer-driven emergency assistance organization comprised of the Burlington Food Pantry, the Covenant for Basic Needs and the Holiday Wish Tree.

  • Year to date through August: 38 new families have started to utilize the Burlington Community Food Pantry. 
  • Currently an average of 312 people receive food from the Burlington Community Food Pantry on a monthly basis. 
  • 10,718 pounds of food were distributed to families of the Burlington Community Food Pantry in August of 2012.
  • Over 100,000 pounds of food will be distributed in 2012 to families of the Burlington Community Food Pantry.

There are many people in need in the Town of Burlington. It could be a neighbor, someone sitting next to you at Church or perhaps at a school event. In addition to receiving their monthly food distribution in December we would like to once again provide these families with resources to enjoy a holiday dinner with their family.
