Doctor Who Comes To Burlington: Summer Camps Are Cool

Wizards and Warriors offers alternative overnight camps for kids.

Not all summer camps are sporty. The Wizards and Warriors summer camp in Burlington is filled with role play, heroes, monsters… and The Doctor.

The BBC in England has granted The Story School permission to use the Doctor Who storyline and The Doctor’s likeness in its 2014 summer camps at the Austin Prep campus in Reading and at its day camp in Burlington near the Burlington Mall.

Doctor Who — for those who aren’t familiar with the wildly popular show — is a British science-fiction television program that also airs in America and just about everywhere else in the world. Played now by Peter Capaldi, The Doctor has also been portrayed by David Tennant and Matt Smith in recent years. When the show celebrated its 50th anniversary in November of last year, millions of fans celebrated across the globe by watching a simulcast of “The Day of the Doctor” in both movie theaters and at home on TV.

Due to The Doctor’s immense popularity here in America, the Wizards and Warrior summer camps are almost filled to capacity already.
