YMCA Camp Wa Wa Segowea – A historic coed camp with overnight and day options in Southfield, MA, on 500 acres in the scenic Berkshires, where children and teens aged 6-16 build character, skills and memories.

American Camp Association’s (ACA) Accreditation is a mark of distinction from the only national nonprofit organization accrediting camps. Administering the ACA Accreditation program in New England is a key way that ACA New England supports campers, camp seekers, parents and professionals. These three camps went through a comprehensive and thorough review to achieve their ACA Accredited camp status.

“It is ACA New England’s job to promote safe, healthy and nurturing camp environments and to help families find camps that uphold these levels of commitment,” said Bette Bussel, ACA New England’s Executive Director. “By being ACA Accredited, these camps demonstrate that they care about their campers and understand the importance of maintaining an optimal environment that strives to meet the highest quality standards designed specifically for camps.”

These three camps have received accreditation for the first time for 2014, bringing the total number of ACA Accredited camps in the region to approximately 400. For more information on these camps and ACA New England, please visit www.acanewengland.com
