Today is Thursday, September 26. Here are five things to know:
1) Sunny skies
Looks like another nice day. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 68 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 48.
2) Public meetings
The Board of Assessors is meeting at 6 p.m. in the hearing room in the Town Hall Annex - click here for the agenda. The Conservation Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall - click here for the agenda.
3) Toastmasters
There is a session of the "Last Word Toastmasters Club" at 6 p.m. tonight at the Burlington Public Library. This Toastmasters Club is an international organization dedicated to helping members improve their communication and leadership skills. Come join the fun-filled, stress-free, supportive group. Walk-ins are always welcome.
4) Play bridge
The Burlington Public Library is hosting two bridge playing events today. The first is the Burlington Bridge Players which will meet at 1 p.m. The second is the Thursday Night Bridge group, which meets at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public, so come down, play some bridge and meet new people.
