Meeting to Discuss Bow Hunting in Landlocked Forest

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, July 24. Here are five things to know: 

1) Cloudy with a chance of showers 

There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 a.m. today followed by a chance of showers, the National Weather Service reports. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 84 degrees. 


2)  Bow hunting

Bow hunting for deer in the Landlocked Forest has been approved by the Board of Selectmen but the details on the rules have yet to be ironed out. Join the discussion this today at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room when the Board of Selectmen subcommittee on the subject, led by Selectman Daniel Grattan, meets to continue the dialogue. 

3) Family story time

The Burlington Public Library is holding a family story time and craft event at 10:30 a.m. this morning. 

4) Mosquito spraying in today 

The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will be controlling mosquitoes in neighborhoods of Burlington using truck mounted aerosol sprayers on Wednesday, July 24th and Thursday, July 25th between dusk and 11:30 p.m. Click here for details including spraying locations

5) Do Not Enter Middlesex Extension 

There are new 'Do Not Enter" signs and barricades on the Middlesex Turnpike Extension at Bedford Street as part of a 1-year trial program. Click here for details
