Local Bank Awards Prizes to Coloring Contest Winners, Today's Events in Burlington
Five things to know today.
Today is Tuesday, September 10. Here are five things to know:
1) Mostly cloudy, morning showers
Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a slight chance of isolated showers this morning with a high near 79 degrees. Otherwise mostly cloudy. Foggy tonight with cloudy skies and a low around 70.
2) Public meetings
The Board of Health is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The School Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High School.
3) New Job help
The Burlington Public Library is holding a session of Career Transitions from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. today. This is a networking and workshop dedicated to providing a 'road-map to re-employment' for transitioning professionals. Free and all are welcome.
4) Weight loss help
The group (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is holding a weekly Tuesday meeting today. The group will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the library. New members are always welcome to join this supportive and friendly group.
5) Coloring winners
Reading Co-operative Bank was pleased to award three extraordinary prizes to a group of exceptionally talented children who participated in the Burlington Pride Day Coloring Contest. Check out the story.
