1) Sunny and breezy
Looks like a nice, though breezy, day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 69 degrees. It will be windy though with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour. Partly cloudy tonight and cool with a low around 44.
2) Public meetings
The Board of Health is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall - click here for the agenda. The School Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High School - click here for the agenda.
3) Give the gift of life
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive on Tuesday from 1 30 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion at 162 Winn St. All presenting donors receive a coupon from Monro Muffler. Blood donors needed.
4) New career help
The Burlington Public Library is hosting a Career Transitions program from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. This is a networking and workshop dedicated to providing a 'roadmap to re-employment' for transitioning professionals. It is free and all are welcome.
5) Lose weight with support
The group (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is holding a weekly Tuesday meeting today. The group will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Library. New members are always welcome to join this supportive and friendly group.
