Ceremony in Remembrance of 9/11 This Morning

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, September 11. Here are five things to know: 

1) Hot day today 

Looks like summer is making a final push. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 93 degrees today with heat index values as high as 100. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 72. 

2) 9/11 Remembrance 

There will be a ceremony in memory of the attacks of September 11, 2001 and those who lost their lives on that day and in the military response afterwards on the Town Commons starting promptly at 9:50 a.m. this morning. 

3) Retirement help 

The Burlington Public Library is hosting a discussion on retirement planning from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The program will focus on the non-financial aspects of retirement preparation and relevant issues for anyone newly retired or considering retirement.
