Today is Wednesday, August 28. Here are five things to know:
1) Chance of showers
Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a slight chance of showers this morning and then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Otherwise it may be partly sunny with a high near 81 degrees. Slight chance of showers tonight with a low around 60.
2) Bow hunting
Bow hunting for deer in the Landlocked Forest has been approved by the Board of Selectmen but the details on the rules have yet to be ironed out. Join the discussion this today at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room when the Board of Selectmen subcommittee on the subject, led by Selectman Daniel Grattan, meets to continue the dialogue.
3) Business seminar
There will be a seminar for business owners and manager at 9 a.m. this morning at ActionCOACH, 44 Mall Road, Suite G01. The seminar note states business people will learn how to double their profits. Click here for more info.
4) Breathe deep
The Burlington Public Library is holding a meditation session at 5 p.m. today. Learn and practice breathing and meditation techniques.
5) Local photographer honored
