Burlington Historical Society Holding Talk on History of RCA in Town

Five things to know today.

Today is Thursday, September 5. Here are five things to know:

1) Cloudy morning

It may start out gray today but the sun is expected by this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a slight chance of showers this morning and mostly cloudy skies. It will gradually become sunny later this afternoon. High near 70 degrees. Mostly clear tonight and cool with a low around 43.

2) Development

The Planning Board is meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the main hearing room at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda

3) Historical Society presents "Tales of RCA"

From the Burlington Historical Society: "Ed Tkacs, a former employee of RCA and a long-time Burlington resident will share with us the history of RCA at 6:30 p.m. in the Human Resources Building. RCA was the first major player in the electronics industry in our town. Many people in town once worked for RCA and we hope they will come to our meeting, have a cup of coffee and enjoy all the memories with Ed. Historical Society always welcomes new members. We are non-profit and the guest fee is only $2.00."

4) Play bridge

Enjoy playing bridge? Want to meet new people for a game? The Burlington Public Library is holding two bridge sessions today. The first is from 1 to 4 p.m and the second one is on from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
