Bow Hunting in Landlocked Forest Discussion Tonight

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, August 14. Here are five things to know: 

1) Nice day 

Looks like a bright and comfortable day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 76 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 52. 
2) Storytime 

The Burlington Public Library is holding a family storytime at 10:30 a.m. today. Come and enjoy delightful digging stories and crafts every Wednesday morning. The whole family is welcome, but younger children may require assistance from parents when doing the crafts.

3) Bow hunting

Bow hunting for deer in the Landlocked Forest has been approved by the Board of Selectmen but the details on the rules have yet to be ironed out. Join the discussion this today at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex basement meeting room when the Board of Selectmen subcommittee on the subject, led by Selectman Daniel Grattan, meets to continue the dialogue. 

4) Play bridge 

The library is also holding a duplicate contract bridge session from 11:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. To play is free and everyone is welcome.
