Carl, there is no such church -- otherwise they're heretics... like me, most "tone itRead More down" out of compassion -- but sodomy, murder, child abuse + adulterous behavior is NOT acceptable -- does anyone have to shout this when you walk into a church? No.

Definitely will add these to my long, long list of "to reads". Maybe I'll live longRead More enough to get to them all. Just finished an oldie but goodie ... but you know? The stories only stay with me for a while, I read so much that I forget what I've already read and after the first few pages, I get into it again and often continue since I liked it the first time around. There will never be enough hours in any day to read all I want to and thank goodness and God for Goodreads and, of course, my library and you, Danielle, for adding to my lists. Was offered a Kindle but know what? I really prefer to hold that book in my lap to read, plus I prefer to use my library ... it's FREE, for goodness sake, why would I pay to read anything but a newspaper? And, even that can be gotten at the library. If nothing else, I just love the smell of a library! (Sorry for my longwinded-ness ... just love, love books.)
Mamie Huggins April 20, 2014 at 08:37 am
Hey Anna - I'm a book lover too and use the library on occasion. But it's not FREE as you say, it'sRead More paid for by us taxpayers. Also, when I buy a book, especially by an unknown and/or local author, I'm helping that person to keep writing.
Anna Bucciarelli April 20, 2014 at 05:48 pm
Of course you're right Mamie but if I don't have to part with an additional penny from my pocket IRead More feel it's a treat. And you're right too about keeping authors writing I especially like books by new, first-time novelists who often surprise me with the wonder of their words.

Lmao! My father has thoroughbred horses and TRAINS them THREE TIMES A DAY to race! If he didn'tRead More train them... They would not be racing animals! U are all So dumb!!!
Suzanne Bryant April 20, 2014 at 09:22 pm
Gina, incorrect. Thoroughbreds are bred to be big, fast and have stamina in order to race. TheRead More training is to carry a rider, install some steering and muscle conditioning, a race horse needn't be taught to run and race. Just like a greyhounds are bred to be lean and fast for racing, and, every other breed out there was created with attributes to make them good for the job desired. Labs to retrieve, beagles to hunt, bloodhounds to track, shepherds to protect, heelers to herd. And well bred dogs naturally perform their respective jobs. But, a dog bred to fight other dogs for no apparent reason other than to die or kill, for hundreds years, surely doesn't have any genetic markers to ensure a propensity to fight... Unprovoked, ever. Right? Pit bulls and their kin are the only breed created by man to perform a task, only if we ask politely then? And never will they be compelled to respond to their genetics as long as we train and love them? Is that how it works? Every other dog is apt to do the stuff they do naturally, except the pitties, they can defy their genetics because they're special. Interesting theory... Sadly, I bet it wouldn't hold up to much real science though. Of course, all those maimings and fatalities don't count either, I guess? Maybe because dogs can't count? Or, is it because fighting breeds are special?

You sound like a big dumb schmuck! Lol my friend has a greyhound who is fat and lazy because theyRead More stay in the house and lay around, that's what it was TRAINED TO DO, the ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH IT GREW UP IN!!! And beagles Too! And any other dog or animal You're talking about! Black people are on the news in Newark, NJ for murder.. Does that mean ALL black people murder and are born to kill? Get the fuck outta here. You all make yourselves sound like a bunch of schmucks and I'm Done arguing with you. You're not even worth my time. I have two Pitbulls And will NEVER own another breed. So say what you will... JD You're 100% correct about the person walking the street. It's the owner of the dogsRead More responsibility. The mass breeding of the Pit Bull has also contributed to the problem. A big contributor to this Pit Bull mania was Sports Illustrated. In 1987 they put a pit baring its teeth on the cover with the headline "Beware of this dog". This attracted a lot of types of people that wanted them. Gang members sought the breed in droves. Back yard breeders began over breeding because the demand was so high. Many of these dogs were abused, abandoned and became sought after for the ring. To make them meaner they would pump them with steroids, beat them, chain them with heavy chains around their necks all day to make them stronger and force them with hours of exercise daily. It is human scum that have made Pit Bulls the problem. The monsters are humans not these wonderful animals. Joe R why don't you add the most savage of those animals to your list, humans.

The Pit Bull story repeats in a 1/2 hour at midnight tonight on Nat Geo Wild with Cesar Millan.
