Weekend Planner: Easter Breakfasts, Student Concert and Wine Tasting

Suggestions on what to do Friday and this weekend.

 

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

1. THE STORY OF JESUS

Where/when: The Church of The Open Bible, 3 Winn St.; Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.

Why go: The Church of the Open Bible invites you to attend your 2012 Easter Music Program.  A sixteen-voice ensemble will be presenting details of the events of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection.  Themes of death, life, and love are beautifully portrayed through narration and nine musical selections.

2. STUDENT SHOWCASE

Where/when: Real School of Music, 56 Middlesex Tpke.; Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

Why go: See a free musical concert featuring students from the Real School's winter session. On Friday see the adult students perform and on Saturday see students of all ages show their new skills.

Pricing: Free

3. EASTER WEEKEND WINE TASTING

Where/when: Busa Wine & Spirits, 180 Cambridge St.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Try a variety of Bell Wines; Cabernet, Claret, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah. Prices range from $14.99-$38.99. They'll also be pouring Masciarelli Montepu.

4. EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE & BREAKFAST

Where/when: Burlington Town Commons, 29 Center St.; Sunday from 7 a.m.

Why go: The Fellowship Bible Church is hosting an Easter Morning Sunrise Service for worship and message at the Burlington Common. Breakfast to follow service at Fellowship Bible Church, 71 Center Street.

Pricing: Free

5. EASTER SUNDAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Where/when: Presbyterian Church of Burlington, 335 Cambridge St.; Sunday at 9 a.m.

Why go: Join fellow worshipers for pancakes and fellowship before attending the Easter Sunday Worship celebrating the resurrection.
