The Book Corner: News From the Burlington Public Library

The Burlington Public Library has a wide variety of upcoming programs and events.

The Burlington Public Library has a bunch of upcoming events and accounts of past events residents can check out. The following is a press release listing what has happened, is currently happening and what is coming soon.

Are you wondering what to do when it is too hot outside?  Do you need a comfortable place to cool down?  The library is the place for you.  Come on in and relax in the comfortable, air conditioned building.  Find books, read newspapers or magazines, access the internet or participate in programs.

Magazines

While you’re beating the heat in the library, you might want to check out magazines that highlight activities for when it is the perfect day outside.  Titles such as “Bicycling”, “Field and Stream”, “Golf Digest”, “Tennis” and “Sky and Telescope” might be of interest.  There’s also magazines on the topics of gardening, cooking and entertaining, or travel that might help with your summer plans. See a full array on the second floor of the library or peruse the list online. Go to our website and click on the Research tab to find a complete list.

Library Survey

The Burlington Public Library needs your help! We are planning for the next 5 years and want to know what you would like to see from your library.  Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey online (www.burlingtonpubliclibrary.org and click on “survey”) or pick up a paper copy in the library, at Town Hall, the Recreation Department or Council on Aging. We want to know what you think about the library and what we can do to serve you best.

Summer Reading

Summer Reading sign up is going on now!   We have a program for every age—Infant-Preschool, Grades K-5, Teens, and Adults.  Read during the summer and you can win prizes too. For more information, visit us at www.burlingtonpubliclibrary.org and click on the summer reading that fits you, or stop by the library to learn more.
