Reminder: Today is Last Day to Register to Vote for April Election

All residents interested in voting in the April 14 Town Election must register at the Town Clerk's office or through the mail by today.

 

The following is a release from Town Clerk Amy Warfield:

Today is the last day/hour to register to vote for the April 14 Town Election.  Any resident who is not already registered, is a U.S. Citizen, and 18 years or older (as of April 14th) may register to vote at the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall. The Clerk's Office will hold special hours today to give residents more time to register and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Eligible residents may also register via the mail.  Forms are available at the Library, Recreation Department, Post OfficeBurlington High School, Housing Authority, and Council on Aging.  Mail in forms must be postmarked by March 23rd.  

    If you are not sure if you are already registered to vote in Burlington, you may go on our website and enter your name and date of birth to verify your voting status and precinct.  Go to www.burlington.org/clerk  the voter lookup panel is on the left side of the page.

    REGISTERING TO VOTE AFTER THE DEADLINE 

    Citizens absent from Massachusetts throughout the period March 17 thru 23, and willing to swear to that under the penalties of perjury, may register to vote in person up to 4:00 P.M. the day before the election.

    Newly naturalized citizens (naturalized after March 23rd) may register to vote in person up to 4:00 P.M. the day before the election.
