Police Logs: Vehicle Stolen from Apartment Complex, Laptop Stolen and Hit & Run Accident
Burlington Police Logs for Jan. 26 to 27.
Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
Jan. 26
- At 9:08 a.m. a caller from the Burlington Mall parking lot reported that the right front tire on her vehicle was slashed. Caller stated she believed it was done by a colleague with whom she had a dispute.
- At 9:24 a caller from Seven Springs Lane apartments reported his vehicle, a black 2009 Toyota with plate # FL ME6HAN, was stolen sometime the night before. Seven Springs management confirmed no vehicles were towed from the property. Vehicle entered into stolen-vehicle system.
- At 11 a.m. a Prouty Road caller reported that somebody had used her e-mail account without authority.
- At 1:35 p.m. police issued a criminal summons to a Billerica man on charges of operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
- At 2:21 p.m. police issued a criminal summons to a Burlington man on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Jan. 27
- At 12:07 a.m. a caller from Cafe Escadrille reported having a laptop and projector stolen from their vehicle.
- At 12:18 a.m. police observed new vandalism at Overlook Park on Overlook Avenue. Police found fresh taggings and drawings made within the past five days. The initials "TJSK" were found in multiple places with a drawing of a green monster with one eye.
- At 3:22 p.m. police responded to a possible restraining order violation on Leopold Street.
- At 4:03 p.m. a caller from Sears reported detaining two shoplifters. Store to handle.
- At 4:29 p.m. a caller from Terry Avenue reported his iPhone (valued $500) was stolen.
- At 8:51 p.m. a Boulder Road caller reported a hit and run accident. Caller stated her vehicle, that was parked on her street in front of her house, was struck by an SUV that then drove away.
