Expect delays on Middlesex Turnpike.

Updated 12:45 p.m.

Burlington Patch was just on scene at Middlesex Commons. Power is still out and according to one worker they were told power may be out for hours as NSTAR attempts to restore power.

Power is also out in the Adams Street area of Middlesex Turnpike and traffic lights are out. Traffic is moving slowly but is progressing.

Original Story:

Burlington Police have confirmed that an accident on Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington this morning has caused a section of the corridor to be closed and localized power outages.

According to one report NH Traffic Cams eAlerts, the accident was caused by a tractor trailer that struck utility wires and a transformer and that the turnpike is closed from Adams Street to the entrance of Route 128 in both directions.

Burlington Patch will update as more information becomes available. For now expect delays in and and around Middlesex Turnpike.

Nordstrom Rack is still without power per their Twitter feed. I was there when the power went out. You can still shop and buy items!
