Welcome to another edition of Patch Snap, where we highlight a picture or pictures of around Burlington or of Burlington residents out and about.

Today's Patch Snap is from the Fox Hill Elementary School's PTO and features students getting a ride to school in the back of a police cruiser.

Now these aren't Burlington newest and youngest criminals. The Fox Hill School students pictured above; Mackenzie Fine, Carson Reidy, and Rachel Schlansky enjoyed a ride to school in Officer Keith Shephard's DARE Police cruiser. The once-in-a-lifetime trip was donated by Officer Sheppard to Fox Hill's March auction that raised $14,000 for the school.

Doesn't anyone pay attention to other schools in Burlington that are NOT from Fox Hill? We never see any others listed here on Patch. Why are the Fox Hill students receiving IPad's and not the other schools? Why is so much attention paid to one school in Burlington, when there are several? Just curious, because my children didn't go to Fox Hill and graduated from Burlington High with high honors...Two on the National Honor Society. Others that I know didn't attend Fox Hill had the same results. Go figure. Have we got a bias here?

Just so you don't think the other schools are being passed over in favor of Fox Hill - the iPads were a gift as a result of a fundraiser by the PTO specifically for this purpose. http://burlington.patch.com/articles/fox-hill-elementary-getting-ipads
You can read about the effort her.

Hi J. Parker,
No, there is no bias intended in our coverage. The reality is that Patch sites are managed by a single editor and we rely on the community and the town entities/organizations to let us know when things are happening. The iPad story and this story were brought to our attention by the Fox Hill PTO and they sent in the pictures. I would be more than happy to highlight the achievements and happenings of all the schools and welcome anyone associated with them to get in touch when something is happening.
Anyone who is part of anything happening in town they would like to share with the community can always reach me at Richard.Hosford@patch.com, post an announcement on the site that I will highlight on the homepage or, best of all, start a blog that I will feature and promote. We strive to be a place where everyone in the community can share their news, thoughts and opinions but we need readers to get involved to have comprehensive coverage.
