It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.

1. NERF NIGHT - BLASTER BALL

Where/when: Guard Up! Family Swordsmanship & NERF, 103 Terrace Hall Ave, Burlington

Why go: What would a sports competition look like if all the participants were given blasters? Come find out. Dodge, duck, and dart as you accomplish your goals and take down your rivals. Who will come out on top and who will be left empty-handed. Bring your blasters (or use theirs) and your friends.

2. TEEN FOR PAWS DANCE

Where/when: 467 Main St, Wakefield; Friday at 7 p.m.

Where/when: This dance is a bit of drive away, but its for a nice cause. PAWS is hosting a Teens for PAWS Valentine’s Day dance to raise funds for the Wakefield animal shelter, Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc. Come enjoy live music by the band “The Change Up” along with pre-recorded music. Snacks and water will be sold at the event.

Pricing: $10 per person, includes entry into a raffle for a $25 iTunes gift card.

3. CLAY GUILD DISCUSSION

Where/when: Burlington Public Library, 22 Sears St.; Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Why go: The Central MA Polymer Clay Guild meeting to share ideas and techniques involving polymer clay. Come check out the meeting and learn about this craft and maybe find a new hobby. All are welcome.

4. CHILDREN STORY NIGHT

Where/when: Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 98 Middlesex Turnpike; Friday at 7 p.m.

Why go: Join Mr. Ed for a reading of Mary Casanova's children's book "Utterly Otterly Night." Little Otter is ready for some action but with wolves on the prowl, his adventures are a series of dizzying close calls. When he finally returns to his den, Little Otter's family is all played out and ready for bed.

5. ALL-AGE OPEN MIC NIGHT

Where/when: Real School of Music, 56 Middlesex Tpke.; Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Why go: Come join Real School instructors Vykki Vox and Erik Ringstad for the monthly "All-Ages Open Mic," held on the third Sunday of every month.  Soloists and bands are welcome to take the stage. Full backline and PA are provided. Sign up starts at 4 p.m. and the show begins at 4:30 p.m.
