1. ICE SKATING LESSONS

Where/when: Burlington Ice Palace, 36 Ray Ave.; Fridays from 3:10 to 4 p.m. (9-week course).

Why go: Learn how to skate in a fun and safe environment. Open to people of all ages.

Pricing: 9 weeks for $135.00

2. EDIBLE ART

Where/when: Burlington Public Library; Friday at 2:45 p.m.

Why go: A chance to go ahead and play with your food as you make  ice cream cone cupcakes.

3. KIDS FESTIVAL

Where/when: Burlington Church of Christ, 344 Cambridge St.; Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

Why go: Lots of fun activities! There will be Games, Prizes, Food, Entertainment, Pony Rides, and a Petting Zoo.

4. PET EXPO

Where/when: Aleppo Temple Shrine Auditorium, 99 Fordham Road, Wilmington; all day Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Why go: Bring your pet and head down to this large pet expo where you will find pet products, discounted vaccines, demonstrations and, at 5 p.m., a Pet Costume Contest.

Pricing: Entry is free.

5. WINCHESTER FARMERS MARKET AND FESTIVAL

Where/when: Town Common, Church St & Waterfield Rd, Winchester; Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m.

Why go: Find great deals on locally grown produce, unique food items and enjoy live music

Pricing: Free Entry
