1. NORTH SUBURBAN YMCA GALA: AN EVENING OF DREAMS

Where/when: Cafe Escadrille, 26 Cambridge St,; Friday at 6 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy a dinner, conversation, raffles and more. All proceeds from An Evening of Dreams will benefit the YMCA’s Reach Out Scholarships Campaign, supporting the mission to foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

2. LIVE MUSIC: EMERGING ARTIST SERIES

Where/when: Real School of Music, 56 Middlesex Tpke; Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Why go: Come see "Trust Fall" and celebrate their EP release with special guest bands "Look Out Below" and "The Best Excuse."

Pricing: $5

3. BHS MUSIC BOOSTERS BENEFIT CONCERT

Where/when: Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge St.; Saturday at 7 p.m.

Why go: Come see The New England Tenors, a trio of professional musicians who bring years of performing a broad variety of musical genres to the stage like no other tenor group. There is also a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the BHS Music Boosters.

4. NIGHT OF LOCAL COMEDY

Where/when: Atlantis Playmakers, 380 Cambridge St.; Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: Join host Jacey Bokuniewicz for a fun filled evening of laughs, treats, prizes and more. Comedians, improvisations troupes, sketch comedy shows, featuring "Heard of It," "True-ish Hollywood Story," "Stranger than Fiction," Laura and David Mogolov.

Pricing: $25

5. OLDE TIME FAIRE

Where/when: United Church of Christ Congregational, 6 Lexington St.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why go: Come shop for fall/Christmas crafts, jewelry, books, baked goods, jams, jellies and chocolates. There will also be entertainment and face painting. A festive time.

Pricing: Entry is free.
