There was some intense orange skies over Burlington last night (June 1) before a thunderstorm hit. The storm was part of the system that created tornadoes in the western part of the state

The skies were aflame with orange shortly before dark last night as stormy weather bore down on the region. There was thunder, lightning and interesting skies, but no severe weather like was seen in Springfield and other western Massachusetts communities.
Still, the dusk skies over our area were a site to see. Fortunately, Cindy Mattson of Given-Erwin Florist agreed. She grabbed her camera and headed outside of her shop to get some pictures of the orange heavens.
