The Burlington Town Commons and Simonds Park were hopping on Saturday, Aug. 6 as thousands came out to enjoy fun, games, entertainment and food during Celebrate Burlington Day 2011. 

The day offered a wide variety of activities, including games, Moon Bounce inflatables, entertainment acts and musical concerts, laser tag and a lot more. Partipating groups included the Burlington Recreation Department, Burlington Rotary, The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce, The Francis Wyman Association, Friends of the Burlington Public Library, The Burlington Minutemen, The Burlington Players, Burlington's Real School of Music, several church groups and others, all who added to the fun and activities. 

As the best of celebration often do, Celebrate Burlington Day ended with a great fireworks display that could be viewed from the commons and Simonds Park.
