Image Gallery: BHS Students Get Their iPads

Burlington High School students and their parents attending information sessions before picking up their iPads.

handed out iPads to all entering students last week as part of its . 

Each student was required to attend an hour-long informational meeting with a parent before taking home the iPads.  The session included a review of the school's use policy and insurance options.

On his blog, Burlington High Principal Patrick Larkin said during the distribution process that he was excited about getting the iPads to his students and to begin the new 1:1 program.

"It has been an amazing few days at BHS as we have started the process of distributing over 1,000 iPads to our students," he said. "It is such a wonderful experience to get students and their parents into the school together as we start this exciting journey together. Unfortunately in education, it is an uncommon occurrence for students, parents, and school staff to undertake something of this nature that is a shared learning experience."
