Fitness Together Carries Same Health Goals to a New Location

Fitness Together moves to a new building on Cambridge Street, promises improved programs and facilities.

Brendan Stapleton, fitness specialist and managing owner of in Burlington, takes his job seriously.

“This is way more than a job for me,” says Stapleton, “this is a passion.”

This passion led Stapleton to seek out a better location—which he has found in its new home at 212 Cambridge Street, part of a veritable strip next to True North Coffee and Cambridge Savings Bank.

Fitness Together doesn’t yet have the signage Stapleton has ordered to christen itsstorefront with, so he makes a point of distinguishing the business.

“We are not a gym, we specialize in personal training and lifestyle improvements," he says. On its website, Fitness Together advertises itself as “Your Complete Fitness Solution,” and with its recent move Fitness Together is now better equipped to do just that.

At over 2,000 square feet, the new building on Cambridge Street has more than twice the square footage of Fitness Together’s old location. This extra space has allowed for better facilities: a recreation room to sit, eat a complimentary banana, and read a magazine after a work out; ceiling-speakers whose volumes can be controlled individually by room; partitioned rooms for optimized focus. As Stapleton puts it: “We provide everything a client needs, outside of socks and underwear.”

The extra space is a blessing in and of itself, as well, Stapleton said, because of Fitness Together’s rapidly growing client base. Stapleton has worked for Fitness Together for four years, initially as a trainer and working his way up, and says the time is right for “a larger and more comfortable space for our current clients, as well as our future clients.”

It’s no wonder that Fitness Together is growing, with its effective four-man operation and unique philosophy.

“There is no miracle fad diet or a pill you can take to get healthy,” says Stapleton. “It takes hard work and being on a program specifically designed for you.”

Fitness Together pairs each client with one of its four trainers to establish a plan for improvement: one that combines “a common sense nutrition program,” and “the perfect combination of aerobic exercise and resistance training,” its website states. This individualized approach to health is one of Fitness Together’s main selling points.

Another key tenet of Fitness Together can be found in the second part of its name.

“We help our clients pick realistic goals and stick with them,” Stapleton says. This support is something that helps clients maintain their effort and achieve better results.

With the new location, Stapleton plans on introducing several new programs to Fitness Together. Amongst them are strength training for Burlington student athletes and a running club.
