Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Burlington Patch's Blog of the Week

Each week we will highlight a blog from the past seven days as a featured blog.

At Burlington Patch we love our bloggers.

They are local residents who share their ideas, expertise and opinions on a wide range of topics.

To thank our bloggers and highlight their great work, we are now starting a new feature where we will present a blog (or blogs) of the week every Sunday.

This week we have a blog by local financial adviser John Spoto. He recognized that with all of the discussion over the "Medicare debate" in the media that readers could use a primer on the issue.

Check out his blog, "Understand the Medicare Debate" by clicking the link.

Want to get in on the blogging fun?

We are looking for Burlington residents or those with ties to the area to contribute regularly to our community website. When I first launched Burlington Patch on December 10, 2010, I envisioned the website to be a virtual Town Green where the community could come together to chat, share ideas, keep up to on local news and happenings, but most importantly connect with our town and each other; blogging is one more way to do this.

So here’s what you need to know if you want to join:

Are you passionate about something in Burlington? Contact us! Whether it's food, family, schools, government, business, social issues, exercise, fashion or business— if it's your thing, we'd like you to consider blogging for Patch. Anyone may apply.

I am specifically interested in talking with:

  • Musicians, Live Music Fans, Audiophiles and Artists
  • Parents, High School Students, Teachers and Professors
  • Bartenders, Baristas and Foodies
  • Fashion Experts, Stylists and Crafters
  • Volunteers and Nonprofit Workers
  • Health and Fitness Experts
  • Local Sports Fans
  • Photographers interested in doing "Photo Blogs" of places, events and people around town.

Don't be shy! Burlington Patch is on a mission to recruit fresh voices, and this is a great opportunity to make your voice heard. We want to hear what you have to say.

Patch bloggers are not paid and will own their blogs, so if you are already blogging and want to share with our readers, too, let us know. This is a chance to share your expertise and opinions with a wider audience!

Contact me, Richard Hosford if you are interested in being a part of the conversation! We hope to see you on Patch!
