The boys will be playing at 5 p.m. against the Kokomo, IN team at Nutile Field in Winchester.
As reported on Winchester Patch, the fun has begun for the 10 teams competing in the Cal Ripken 12-Year-Old World Series in Winchester. All day long Tuesday, teams from across the country arrived at the Burlington Marriott, where they will stay for the duration of the tournament. They have come from far - California, North Dakota, Idaho, Arkansas, Indiana, Virginia, New York - and from near - Raynham, Burlington and Winchester.
The next round of the games begin today. For the Burlington 12-year-old boys, the first game begins at 5 p.m. against the Ohio Valley regional champs, the team from Kokomo, IN. The game will be at Nutile Field, 113 Wildwood Street, Winchester.
"This is a once and a lifetime opportunity for this hard working team so once again we ask you to grab the kids, put on your red and head over to Winchester to root our boys on!" the Burlington Baseball and Softball Association said in a release.
Don't have a red shirt? No worries.
Tomorrow from 3 to 4 p.m. the BBSA will be having a T-shirt sale at lower Simonds. The shirts will be sold at reduced prices while supplies last and there will be several red Burlington shirts along with some other designs.
