- Yom Kippur: Today is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in Jewish religion and culture, and is also known as the “Day of Atonement." Temple Shalom Emeth is holding three services in observation of the holiday. There will be Yom Kippur services at 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. There will also be a Yom Kippur Neilah Service at 4:30 p.m.

Well, the Burlington Public Library is hosting a discussion on the book from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening as part of its "The Last Wednesday Book Group."
