The Fionda Committee Announces New Website
Burlington, MA – The Fionda Committee is pleased to announce an updated website and a new web address, WriteInDave.com.
Dave Fionda is a Democrat running a write-in campaign to replace Representative Charley Murphy, who recently announced he would be retiring from the legislature.
Since Charley’s announcement was beyond the June 1st date for candidate withdrawals, he will remain the only candidate on the ballot for the September 6th primary.
Should Representative Murphy “win” the September 6 primary, he will then send a letter to the Secretary of State saying that he will not serve. By rule, the Democratic Town Committees of the three towns in the District, Bedford, Burlington and Wilmington, will meet and caucus. They will them decide who will be the Democratic nominee in the November 6 general election.
"Our new website address reflects the challenge that we have and our sole focus…to remind everyone that they need to Write In Dave to make sure their vote counts. It is important that we let the voters decide who will represent them."
The updated website, WriteInDave.com was launched this week. The website includes information about Dave, his experience and credentials, a calendar of appearances, voter information and his blog, which includes campaign updates, conversations with voters, activities and endorsements.
