Peggy was born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late George and Margaret Sherwood. She grew up and was educated in Cambridge and married her high school sweetheart, Charles Corlin, shortly after graduating. They were married for 54 years prior to Charlie’s passing in 2010. They approached their life together as a team, supporting each other and sharing the same goals and interests. She worked for Charlie as his Administrative Assistant in the family business, Air Balance, which Charlie founded in 1963. She understood the challenges of running the business and they worked together to make it a success. They shared the love of traveling and enjoyed countless trips to Bermuda, Aruba, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Ireland, and numerous other destinations. They enjoyed entertaining in their home, backyard, and around their pool. They loved dining out. The past year and half without her love has been difficult for her and her family is comforted that they are once again reunited. Peggy’s other interests included reading and gardening. She loved to sing, tell jokes, and had a great sense of humor. She had a close bond with her sisters and regularly spent afternoons together playing board games and keeping each other informed on all their family’s activities. She provided her children with a wonderful home and supported them in their goals and their becoming parents themselves. She was lovingly referred to by her grandchildren as “Momma Peg” and she cherished the time spent with all her 14 grandchildren, their spouses, and 5 great grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family.
Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Charles A. Corlin. She was the loving mother of George Corlin & his wife Jean of Brockton, Chuck Corlin & his wife Patricia of Strafford, NH, Margaret Montalto-Blevins of Burlington, and Sandra Harrington & her husband Michael of North Conway, NH. She was the sister of Mary Faria of Billerica, Patricia Pendelton of Burlington, Sandra Colucci of Cambridge, and the late Lillian Taylor. She was also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
