Local Burlington Photographer Wins Multiple Awards
This past month, local Burlington photographer and studio owner, Randy Brogen CPP of Photos by R. Brogen won six ribbons, four blue and two red, at the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM) Annual Print Competition. Brogen’s winning images were:
- “Daydreamer” – Blue Ribbon
- “Extra! Extra!” – Blue Ribbon
- “Second Amendment” – Blue Ribbon
- “A Stitch in Time” – Blue Ribbon
- “A Splash of Cream” – Red Ribbon
- “A New England Beginning” – Red Ribbon
In addition, Brogen was awarded the Kodak Gallery Award for Best Portrait in the PPAM competition for his “Extra! Extra!”print.
Two weeks after the PPAM competition, Brogen entered three of the above images along with a fourth, which was a cityscape of Boston into the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Northeast District Print Competition in Ohio. He earned the fourth highest score, out of approximately 950 images entered, for his cityscape entitled “The City” with a score of 97! His case of four prints was also listed in the top 20 cases for the entire competition. Congratulations to Brogen and his studio for this achievement!
